"Hi, Miss Alice"

Autumn quickly turned her head, in reaction to hearing her old name. Her pale blue hair was easily tossed by the winds that had begun to engulf London's city streets, reminding her how much faster she needed to walk; and how much farther she needed to go.

While walking she began to let her mind wonder once again, reminiscing of years before when today was filled with joy and laughter. Now it was saddening and only reminded her of her lonesomeness.

With your glass eyes
What kind of dream
Can you see?

She remembered all to well receiving the doll that now sat upon her folded arm, and the promise that it came with. She gently caressed the doll's porcelain face and looked in to her bright blue eyes, only reminding her evermore of what she had given up for this doll.

She smiled as she stroked the dolls silky blonde tresses and looked at the small blue fleur de lis under her left eye.

Are you fascinated with?

When her daydreams had ended she found herself in a familiar place, a small square where she had often come during her times of sorrow, to hear him sing.

"London bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down. London Bridge is falling down, my fair Lady~"
How she longed to hear his singing voice again, the one that would stir her soul.

Still
My heart tears
And drifts

She remembered the many times he played and sang, she tossed the little money she had in to his hat. Just to hear him sing again.

Stuck in the patched crevices
Are memories

"When will you arrive…" she whispered to no one as she looked in to the gray clouded sky. "I want to see your face again…"

"Hi, Miss Alice"

Turning, she saw a young man, looking no older than eighteen, clad in blue, red, black and white. In his hands he held a large music box. Atop his head was a black top hat with a feather. His hair reminded her of flames and his eyes of violets. He was the one she had waited so long to see.

"You have come to see me again, little doll."

She nodded quickly, clutching her doll tighter.

"I have…..I…..I wanted to talk to you about…her"

With that fruitful lips
To whom does love
Is cast away?
Is lamented?

"Ahh, I see," he motioned for her to give him the doll, and hesitantly she did. "You've kept her in very good condition…." He looked back over to Autumn, looking her over from head to toe. "And this is what you wish to look like?" He asked, holding up the blonde doll.

"Yes…That is what I want…"

His response was simple, merely a nod.

"Then," he caressed her face gently "You will make a beautiful doll. And beautiful dolls must be made out of the finest things, do you know what that is?"

She nodded as her cheeks were dusted a light pink.

"Build it up with silver and gold, silver and gold, silver and gold. Build it up with silver and gold, my fair Lady."

Already
I spin my words
Feverish tongue
Has turned cold

He smiled slightly, taking the girls small hand in his own. "Then until the day you become this," He motioned to the doll in his hands and handed it back to Autumn "I shall serve you, as your loyal puppet."

The song to love
Can't be sung either

"I never did learn your name…can you please tell me?"

Still you do not answer

"Drocell. Drocell Keinz."
A late birthday present for Sashimi-chan! I planned on writing a Suigetsu story, but we always write those. So for a change of pace I wrote one of Drocell! I've been listening to the song 'Still Doll' by Kanon Wakeshima and I think it fits Drocell very well, so I wanted to base the story around things like dolls and puppets.

Happy Birthday Sashimi-chan!

..I own nothing but the story 8D

I'm in love with Victorian times its one of the things I Love about living in England - the dresses and dolls the gothis romance its all fascinating
and who said English people were boring! :meow:

London the weather is tempermental like its people :giggle:

My favourite nursery rhyme for London is based on the Great fire of London in 1666 down at bakers street in puddling lane (yes I'm serious ^^;)

"London's burning, London's burning
fetch the engine, fetch the engine
fire fire, fire fire
pour of water, pour of water"

I sing that each time I see a fire engine (I'm a bit of a pyromaniac :meow: - no Deidara not like you! Deidara: awww)

Enough about this! I loved the story Darky-chan it was wonderful my infatuation with Victorian London has been quenched by this wonderful gothic romantism tale!
